Rick Barnes and Texas Basketball fans will never tire of hearing the following words when describing a freshman class: two five-stars.
In the last four-years, there have twice been a pair of highly-regarded newcomers who
joined the Horns in the same season: 2006 with Kevin Durant and Damion James and then last year with Avery Bradley and Jordan Hamilton.
This coming Monday at the Erwin Center, Barnes will unveil his newest duo of dynamic youngsters.
They are forward Tristan Thompson and point guard Cory Joseph, but while they're new to
Texas, they're not new to each other. Both standouts hail from Canada and formed a friendship growing up.
On top of that, they played high school ball together at Findley Prep in Nevada.
