  • Text size: + -

Bastrop police are looking for a man they say abducted a student from the Bastrop High parking lot on Wednesday.

Officers say a middle aged Hispanic man knocked a 15-year-old girl unconscious. Investigators think she was abducted and assaulted. She was found at Fisherman's Park in Bastrop several hours later, according to police.

She was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect was driving an older model Black Chevrolet pickup truck, and was last seen wearing all black. He may have been at the All Star Convenience store on Chestnut Avenue between 8 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 10.

So far there are no known witnesses to the incident at the high school.
