Bowl games have been released and now the A-P All Big 12 teams are on the books, too.
Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty is the offensive player of the year. Texas defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat is the defensive player of the year. Petty also a unanimous first team selection. He finished the season with 30 touchdown passes. Jeffcoat is the first Horn to win the defensive honor since Brian Orakpo in 2008. Jeffcoat led the team in tackles and sacks.
Trey Hopkins, Cedric Reed, and kicker Anthony Fera. Mike Davis and Donald Hopkins were on the 2nd team.
Outside the Big 12, the Oregon Ducks are getting ready for the Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl. After an early glance at the match-up, this one appears to be one of the more uneven ones on the bowl list this year, at least on paper. Oregon is the third-highest ranked team to ever play in the Alamo Bowl behind No. 4 Kansas State in 1998 and No. 8 Northwestern in 2000.
And they're a team that justifies their number 10 ranking. The Ducks are known for their offense, which is ranked second in the country behind only Baylor. They average 573 yards per game, a whopping 150 more than the Horns average of 423, and they've score 33 more touchdowns than Texas this season.

We also introduce you to another talented scholar athlete Kelsie Payne, watch the Cowboys narrowly missing a chance to clinch first place in the division, and we finally know who Lake Travis will play in the semifinals this weekend. All that and more in this Monday edition of Your Sports Now.
