Tiny Tails To You is a traveling petting zoo that aims to teach kids about unique animals with the help of reading.

First, kids read storybooks with an animal theme before snuggling up with some special critters.

“We have bunnies which are probably the biggest hit with kids across the board,” Chelsea Hillies with the petting zoo said. “Then we have guinea pigs and chinchillas, which are the softest animals in the world.”

The zoo can also help children overcome their fear of other animals—like hedgehogs and lizards—at an early age.

The traveling Petting zoo has groups all around Austin and also offers activities for grown-ups called "Hoppy Hour.” Click here for more information. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
