An investigation into the distribution of crystal methamphetamine in the Bell County area has led to the arrest of five people and the seizure of 1800 grams, or 3.9 pounds, of crystal meth.
The Bell County Organized Crime Unit also seized three firearms and more than $14,000 in cash. The estimated final street value of the meth seized is more than $140,000.
The five arrested individuals are currently in custody in Bell and McLennan County jails on pending federal drug charges.
Several additional agencies assisted with the Bell County Organized Crime Unit's investigation, including the Killeen, Temple, Woodway and Lorena police departments; the Texas Department of Public Safety; the McLennan County Sheriff's Department; and the United States Marshals Service.
