Jeb Bush and Hillary Rodham Clinton hit the speakers' circuit on the eve of the opening of George W. Bush's new presidential library, stoking speculation about their own political futures.

Bush, the former Florida governor, said in a speech to the World Affairs Council in Dallas that the nation needs to embrace changes to immigration and education. He says the issues are keys to growing the economy.

"So if we flush out the people that have been waiting--and that going forward--the borders are controlled, you have a system where it's easier to come legally that illegally,” Jeb Bush said. “Given enough room for people to come to country, then a path to citizenship would be easy. Frankly, if it was just a path to legal status, probably a majority of immigrants that would fit in this category would fit in that as well."

When asked whether he had made any decisions to run in the 2016 presidential election, Jeb Bush said he's focused now on the 2014 Texas Land Commissioner race where his son, George P. Bush, is on the ballot.

Meanwhile, former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn't open her doors to the media. She spoke to the National Multi-Housing Council at a private, paid event.

Clinton has given few hints about her political future, but she has plenty of fans ready for her to take the next step.

"We just want to lay the groundwork,” Linda Brooks, a supporter, said. “In case she does decide to run, she'll know that she does have the support across Texas and all over the United States."

For now, the focus remains on the former presidents, as they pay tribute to President George W. Bush’s life and legacy.
