A crowd showed up at the Pflugerville Independent School District's school board meeting Thursday both for and against the district supporting same sex benefits.
Earlier this month, district leaders announced domestic partner benefits for employees. That change would go into effect next year.
An overflow crowd voiced their opinions last night, supporting and criticizing the decision. Many took issue with the board's decision because it lacked public input.
Board members have said they didn't believe anyone would have a problem with it.
Legally, the board doesn't have to consider public feedback on employment benefits.
