A man died Friday from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a car a week before, according to police.
An Austin police spokesperson said 45-year-old Tyrone Lovelace was attempting to cross U.S. Highway 183, just north of McNeil Drive, on Oct. 5 just before 8 p.m. when he was struck by a Cadillac.
Lovelace was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and was pronounced dead a week later on Oct. 12.
This is Austin’s 58th traffic fatality of 2012. There were 44 traffic deaths as of this time last year.
