The Texas Democratic Delegation has its work cut out for them in Charlotte.

The hundreds of Texas Delegates will use their time at the national convention to highlight the state’s all-important Latino vote.

The Texas Delegation will start each day at 7 a.m., followed by caucus meetings leading to the prime time speeches. Up-and-comer San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro will deliver Tuesday’s keynote address.

State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, from San Antonio, will be speaking to the Texas Democratic Delegation at the Great Wolf Lodge, their home base.

Sen. Van de Putte was the co-chair of the Democratic National Convention four years ago when Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for President in Denver. On the final night of the DNC, President Obama will address the nation and accept the Democratic nomination for a second term as President.

That address will be held at Bank of America Stadium.
