A revolutionary grocery store with a focus on sustainability opened its doors to the Austin public for the first time last week.
In.gredients operates differently from other grocers in the sense that they use no packaging for the products they sell. Customers use their own containers to weigh and transport the goods they buy.
While it seems like a new and cutting edge way to cut down on waste, officials with the store say it’s simply a return to the way things were done many years ago in smaller, local grocery stores.
