Austin police have a suspect in custody they say robbed a bank in South Austin Friday.
Police say the man entered the Wells Fargo at the intersection of East Ben White Boulevard and Woodward Street around 1 p.m. and demanded cash.
He made off with an undisclosed amount of money, but was apprehended nearby shortly after the robbery.
Police said the proximity of the bank to the highway makes it a popular target for bank robbers.
This robbery was Austin’s 10th bank robbery of 2012.
