Starting Monday, Austin will no longer be under Stage II water restrictions. City Manager Marc Ott made the decision Thursday after a wetter-than-expected winter and spring.
Under the lifted water restrictions, residents can water twice a week, but during shorter periods of time compared to Stage II. Under Stage I, residents can water only before 5 a.m. or after 7 p.m. on their designated days
Residential customers with odd-number addresses can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those with even-number addresses can water on Thursdays and Sundays.
Commercial customers are allowed to water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
All other restrictions return to Stage I.
