The old saying that “a church that prays together, stays together” definitely rings true for one congregation in Hutto.
For 120 years, Hutto Lutheran Church-goers have been singing together, praying together and worshiping together. On Sunday, they celebrated that milestone with food and fellowship.
The church was also commemorating a new chapter in its history with the installation of a new pastor.
"It's exciting beyond belief because you hear the stories, you hear all the people who have said this is what this place means to me, and they make it personal and they make it real," Pastor Marcos Bigott said.
Some members of the congregation said they have family members who attended the church six generations ago.
