Austin police released their no refusal numbers for Fourth of July Thursday.
Police say 17 people were arrested for DWI Wednesday night. Of those, seven were blood draws and 10 were breath tests.
According to officials, one of the blood draws was mandatory because there was a child passenger in the vehicle. Six of the 10 breath tests reached blood alcohol levels higher than point 1.5 percent.
During no refusal periods, police can obtain a court order to take a blood sample on the spot if they suspect drivers of being intoxicated.
