Hearing aids are a great tool to help people whose sense of hearing is diminishing, but the devices do have their drawbacks.

Now new technology is allowing doctors to sync hearing aids with other devices via Bluetooth technology, allowing the user to better hear devices like phones and laptops.

A remote for the hearing aid can be kept in a pocket or around the neck.

"It's hands-free, you don't have to shuffle for your phone, you have the acoustics in both ears and it's tuned for your hearing loss because it's tuned to your hearing instruments," audiologist Dr. Robin Solomon said.

Learn more about it in the video above.
