Teen arrested for threatening to blow up school

A Pflugerville teenager is in custody after threatening Tuesday to bomb his school.

Pflugerville police that right after midnight, they received a call from a man in Westminster, Colorado, who said he read online that someone was planning to blow up Pflugerville High School. Police also received two other calls about the Internet postings.

The website revealed a post threatening that pipe bombs would detonate at 9:11 a.m. on Sept.11 at Pflugerville High School. The posting threatened additional armed assaults at the school.

The teen’s photograph was on the posting with him holding two apparent PVC pipe bombs. The suspected bombs had wires, component board and batteries.

Pflugerville police went to the teen's home early Tuesday morning and arrested him. He's charged with making a terroristic threat, a third-degree felony, and hoax bomb charges, a Class A Misdemeanor.
